On Saturday, September 17, 2016, a bus carrying several college football players, coaches, and students from the Ramah Jucco Academy was involved in a fatal crash on Interstate 74 in North Carolina. The team, from Rock Hill, South Carolina, was headed to Fayetteville, North Carolina for a football game when the left side front tire suddenly blew out causing the bus to go out of control, striking a guardrail and concrete bridge column.
